[…] In the “Mostro della Tasmania” (Tasmanian Monster), a large installation of 1993, Marcucci evokes a skeleton of a prehistoric animal, of which we can see, as in an inside view, the main bones and strange objects, dreamlike and technological at the same time, contained inside of which the monster seems to have fed on in far-off times. One can notice that each section of the skeleton of the prehistoric animal seems to contain in its interior a reflecting micro-world which is inhabited by oceans, faces, objects, iceberg as if the animal wasn’t other than a concealed biological container of possible worlds, subtle and dreamlike […]
